HorseSports – Proud to Support Grassroots Dressage

HorseSports have picked up the reins to support younger riders through the HorseSports Amateur Top Ten League

The Amateur Top Ten League is supported by HorseSports  to encourage  participation by Pony & Young Riders. Awards will be presented annually at  area  level and nationally the Dressage NZ Awards Dinner.

“At HorseSports we believe that for the advancement of dressage in NZ – and for our riders to succeed both locally and internationally – it begins with building the right foundations. Which  starts with encouraging the next generation of young riders to strive for more, and rewarding riders for their dedication to the sport, their correct training methods, with utmost respect for their horses welfare in their pursuit of excellence”  – Chris & Miriam

Riders must  be annual competitive members of ESNZ and all participating horses and ponies must be registered and have an annual start for dressage. Riders don’t have to travel too far to earn their top ten scores as all graded competitions entered count, including freestyles.

Riders must nominate on Equestrian Entries by 31st March 2017. But you can enter now and see how your scores are comparing, as results will be updated frequently.

Horse Sports Top Ten League Sashes will be awarded to the highest scoring pony and horse in each area.

National Awards:  HorseSports sashes and $50 HorseSports vouchers for 1st and 2nd in each of the six national divisions, plus a HorseSports presentation rug to the winner of each division.

The six national winners and special awards winners (12yrs & under in each island and first year ESNZ registered) will be invited to receive their awards at the Dressage Awards Dinner in Blenheim, June 2017 (all at own expense) or national awards can be presented at area awards functions.
